Fox Red Labradors are a rare-colored version of the Labrador Retriever. As with the Silver and Charcoal Labs, they are currently not recognized by the AKC based on the Fox Red color. Despite this, they can be registered as a purebred Yellow Labrador Retriever, as the darker colored coat is not considered to be a disqualifying factor. Due to its unique and certainly eye-catching color, the Fox Red Labrador continues to grow in popularity.

They are not overly affected by cold weather, but because they have a dense double coat they can become sensitive to high temperatures.
